Registry cleaners have a bad reputation because most of them guess. RegForge is built the other way round. It flags an entry only when the thing it points at is provably missing — a deleted executable, an absent CLSID, a dead ProgID — and every finding carries that missing target with it as evidence, along with a severity. Before it deletes anything it creates a Windows System Restore point and exports a timestamped .reg backup of every affected key, so a single click puts everything back. A curated denylist of protected paths can never be proposed for removal, findings are grouped and individually selectable, and anything you do not want to see again goes on a permanent ignore list. It runs un-elevated for your own user hive and prompts for UAC only when a finding genuinely needs it, clearly badged in the list.
