ScratchForge is what you reach for when a calculator is too rigid and a spreadsheet is too much. Write in plain lines and every line that looks like maths gets its answer in a right-hand gutter: arithmetic, named variables that carry down the page, percentages, running totals with sum and avg, and conversions between units, dates and currencies — "20 usd in eur", "3 miles in km", "days until 2027-01-01". The engine is written from scratch and deterministic; it never calls eval and never touches the network, so the same pad always gives the same answers. Press Ctrl+Alt+Space anywhere in Windows and a floating scratch buffer appears over whatever you were doing, saving straight to your Inbox. Every keystroke is saved atomically with rolling backups and per-pad version history, and pads you want private can be sealed as encrypted vaults whose plaintext never touches the disk.
